How to find us
Canaan Baptist Church is located at 2543 Morgan Road, ½ mile north
of I-459 (exit 6), Bessemer, Alabama.

What Time Should I Come?
Sunday morning services are identical worship services. The services
begin at 9:00 am & 10:30 am.
Small Group Sunday School is a great way to connect with others. Small Groups begin at 9:00 am & 10:30 am.
Wednesday Evening Services and activities begin at 5:45 pm with a supper for the family and guests of Canaan Baptist Church. Several opportunities are available for the entire family beginning at 6:00 pm with the Preschool Children Choirs. Youth and Adults begin their time at 6:30 pm with Solid Rock (meeting in the FLC Youth Solid Rock Room) and Prayer Meeting ( meeting in the Worship Center).
What Is Available For My Children?
We purposely plan opportunities for all age groups areas. Outside
of Sunday morning Small Groups, we attempt to have something to help
every age group to experience the love of God through their personal
walk.

What Should I Expect At Canaan?
You will
find Canaan to be a church
focused on strengthening the family and their own spiritual journey.
We want people to not only read our purpose but actually see us
strive to Love God, Share Life, Serve Others, and especially see us
Showing everyone Jesus in our world!
How Will I Know Where To Go When I Get To Canaan?
Look for the Welcome Center and the Guests parking at the front
entrance to the Sanctuary and Education Buildings at the center of
the campus. As you enter the Welcome Center you will be greeted by
ministry volunteers at the Welcome Center who will lead you and your
family to any area of interest.
I Am Not Sure About Attending A Big Church
Although Canaan has several hundred attending each Sunday we
continue to foster a friendly environment. We continue to grow
larger, but we do so by growing smaller through small group Sunday
School. We encourage everyone to find a small group so they be
connected to the ministry that God has for Canaan Baptist Church.

What is the dress attire to attend Canaan?
We really desire to present our best before our God. Our Sunday mornings tend to be both business casual and dress. Our other opportunities tend to be more casual.
What are future building plans for Canaan?
We are not sure what God will bring our way as we try to be obedient to Him, but we are excited about our newest opportunity in our Preschool & Children’s Building. It is scheduled to be ready for use by Mother’s Day 2007 or at least by our Vacation Bible School this summer.
There are other renovations going to be done to our church office and music ministry areas. This is to provide for the growing music ministry involvement.
As we share God’s love, we realize our present sanctuary and educational space will need to be expanded. The church has approved a Master Plan that will have a future sanctuary/worship center that will extend out beyond our new Preschool and Children’s building.
