WINGS prayer is to grow in our relationship with the Lord, to serve
Him with our Christian sisters, and to minister to the world around
us.
Events:
WINGS is currently hosting two ongoing events Cafe Connection
and Girls Night Out.
Cafe Connection meets for brunch at various homes or coffee
shops. This event gives us a chance to introduce new Bible
studies and fellowship with other women. It helps us to connect
with each other and find out what God is doing in the lives of
our ladies.
We call our evening event Girls Night Out which alternates with
Cafe Connection. We meet at different restaurants or
homes and have dinner. Like Cafe Connection, we share upcoming
Bible studies and encourage the ladies to become more familiar
with each other in order to form lasting relationships.
These events open the door for mentoring and for prayer
partners. Our goal is to see women grow in God's word and become
better wives, mothers, sisters, and friends.
Yearly Events:
Look for the second annual Pajama Party Fashion Show this fall.
We will once again hold this event to benefit the women of The
Foundry by collecting journals and pens for them to use in their
prayer time. And we must not forget the fashion show. Come see
the ladies of Canaan model the latest styles in PJ's. We will
be serving soups and sweets. There will be prizes for the most
creative, most fru fru .. etc.
Please look for dates of upcoming events in the Journal
newsletter, emails, and our bulletin board located on the right
leading into the children's building as you exit the sanctuary.
As WINGS, Women Involved "N" God's Service, our journey starts
with loving God and growing spiritually through Bible studies,
sharing life experiences with other women, serving others in
need in our church and surrounding communities, and showing
Jesus and His love to others through worship, testimonies,
mission projects, and special events. Women of Canaan, put your
spiritual gifts in action and join us! And for those who may
not know what their spiritual gifts are, we will help you
discover them. Get on board for an exciting ride as a servant
for Jesus! This is for women of all ages, 18-118, single,
married, divorced or widowed. There is something for all!!!
