April 5 - Last Mug-n-Muffin until next fall. We hope you will join us as we have a time of inspiration from the Word, motivation about Missions, and information on upcoming events. And don't forget the fun ice-breakers and door prizes! Bring a newcomer and expect a blessing.
Following M –n-M will be a brief meeting where table hostesses for
our spring “Blossoming Faith” will turn in their table Bible verse
and completed form.
New Name:
In the fall, as we resume our first Saturday of the month coffee and
muffin meetings, the name will be changed from “Mug –n- Muffin” to “Café
Connection”!

The W.IN.G.S. Ministry would like to invite women of all ages and various churches to attend this Spring’s Tablescape, ’Blossoming Faith’. You will be blessed as we begin in Canaan’s sanctuary, praising the Lord through music and testimony, then concluding with a banquet at lavishly decorated tables. Receive a small taste of the Lord’s love for you as His special child while listening to the inspirational harp music of well known, Marie Barnes. Let your worries melt and your joy overflow as we learn about “Blossoming Faith (Hebrews 11:1).”

WINGS, Women Involved “N” God’s Service, our journey starts with
loving God and growing spiritually through Bible studies, sharing
life experiences with other women, serving others in need in our
church and surrounding communities, and showing Jesus and His love
to others through worship, testimonies, mission projects, and
special events. Women of Canaan, put your spiritual gifts in action
and join us! And for those who may not know what their spiritual
gifts are, we’ll help you discover them! Get on board for an
exciting ride as a servant for Jesus! This is for women of all ages,
18-118-single, married, divorced or widowed. There is something for
all!!!

Betty Vining’s Coconut Cake
Cake—
I yellow cake mix
1 pkg. vanilla pudding
3/4 cup of oil
1 cup water
4 eggs
Bake in two 9-inch pans at 350 for 25—30 minutes.
Filling—
2 packages frozen coconut
1 1/2 cups sugar
1 carton sour cream
Mix together.
Icing—
3/4 cup sugar
1/3 cup white Karyo syrup
2 egg whites
2 tablespoons water
1/4/ teaspoon cream of tartar
1/4 teaspoon vanilla
Beat in double boiler, after water starts to boil, beat 7 minutes.
After cake cools, cut layers in half. Cover each layer with filling
then cover cake with icing.
