Worship Canaan Worship Ministry is beginning a new Ministry. Reach in your closet and take out that old instrument that you have not played in 15 or 20 years. We are beginning an instrumental ministry. Howard Beckner, former Band Director at McAdory High School, will be leading this new group. They will meet on Wed Evenings at 6:00 p.m. in the Sanctuary. There will be others that have not played in a while so come on and join us. Worship is a language with God. Like any communication, some of it just comes natural and some of it has to be practiced or learned. Our worship ministries strives to help you communicate with God through Music. In the services we look for ways to approach the throne of God while bringing others there with us. There are so many elements to that worship, all of them should be a place to participate. Worship is not a spectator sport or a form of entertainment. The Adult Choir and Praise Team sing regularly in our two morning services. The music is accompanied by Piano, keyboard and Praise Band. There is usually a place for someone to share a vocal or instrumental song in both the morning and evening services. These are provided by our worship musicians. The Youth may participate in a choir called H2O (His To Own) grades 7-12, and they occasionally participate in our services when prepared to do so. The children can participate in choirs from age 4 to 6th grade. These are divided by age groups and work on musical skills as well as worship music and musicals. There are so many people needed to accomplish worship that there is probably a place for you. The service takes Sound Technicians, Power Point and computer Technicians, and extra instrumentalist. We also will use Drama, Handbells, and Orchestra as a part of our future Worship Ministry. If God is calling you to serve in an area of Worship Ministry feel free to use this site to find out how you can become an active vital part of God’s Kingdom by Loving God in Worship.
