Worship

LG1 - Adult Sanctuary Choir  

Our Journey begins with Adult Choir Ministry.  This is the core of our worship experience from which all other ministry derive their purpose.  This open group leads weekly in morning worship and rehearses once a week on Wednesday evenings. 

LG2  - Praise Team  

This is an audition group that supports the music and worship each week.  You must be an active member of the Sanctuary Adult Choir to participate in this group.  The Praise Team and Band bring a special energy to our services and worship.

LG3  - Praise  Band  

This small instrumental group plays weekly in both services and rehearses with the Praise Team.  It is also an auditioned group and supports the choir and Praise Team in leading worship.  This group may vary in number as needed.

LG4  -  Instrumental Ensemble or Orchestra

New to our Ministry, this group will require a light audition.  Some reading skills are required.  The members will meet once a week.  The goal is to develop a small orchestra to play during worship services.  This group will be under the direction of Howard Beckner.

LG5  -  Handbell Choir 

Handbells meet on Sunday afternoons and form a specific choir or group.  We are forming beginner and advanced performing groups at the present.  If you have never played before, you may want to try a beginner group and join the fun.  Bells will play periodically in our worship service.

LG6  - H2O Student Choir

Any student between the 7^th grade and 12th grade may come and be a part of this group.  We rehearse on Sunday afternoons and will periodically supply music for worship services as needed.  This is also a touring group in the Spring.  Touring students must meet certain attendance requirements in choir and Sunday School to be eligible to Tour with us.

LG7 - Preschool and Children Choirs Leader/Helper

Leaders and helpers direct age graded choirs for everyone age 3 to 6^th grade.  Preschool choir is for children 3 – 5, Music Makers Choir consists of children 1^st through the 3^rd grade, and Young Musicians Choir members are 4^th through 6^th grade.  These choirs meet on Wednesday evenings.  They participate in worship and special services.  The two older choirs also prepare and present a musical in the spring.

LG8 - Drama 

This group is open to anyone but parts are assigned as needed by the director.  Drama does not have a regular meeting time at the present but we are looking to establish one.  If you have experience in directing a drama group, please see the Associate Pastor of Worship to organize a teaching time.

LG9 -  Soloist for Worship 

Each week a special musician is featured in our services in addition to our Choir and  Praise Team.  To participate in this ministry you must be an active member of the Sanctuary Choir.  You must complete an audition with the Associate Pastor of Worship and be comfortable performing in front of people.

LG10  - Worship Advisory Team

There are 5 ministry teams within the worship ministry.  The leaders for these teams are selected from within the Adult Choir by the Associate Pastor of Worship to serve for one year at a time.

LG11  -  Instrumentalist for Services

Pianist and keyboardist are hired paid positions.  All other positions may request an audition with the Associate Pastor of Worship.
