We are all fans of something. In fact, when it comes to sports some of us would be called fanatics! However, most of us have succeeded because someone was our fan. They believed in us and rooted for us. Today, we learn through Israel and Joshua that our Heavenly Father is Our Greatest Fan!

I.             An Important Warning (13) Lookout!

“They shall be snares and traps to you…until you perish”

·        The world is a snare to us

·        The world is a scourge to us

·        The world longs to silence us

II.           An Impassioned Wish (3-5) Listen!

“So you shall posses their land…”

·        God is on the side of His Saints

·        God’s strategy will succeed

III.          An Instructive Word (6) Learn!

“Be very courageous to keep and to do all that is written…”

·        Be sold-out to the Word – “Be very courageous…”

·        Be a student of the Word – “Keep… all that is written…”

·        Be a soldier of the Word - “Do all that is written…”

IV.         An Intentional Walk (8) Live!

“But you shall hold fast to the Lord…”

·        How we see the world determines

·        If we will stay His course

V.          An Intimate Worship (11) Love!

“Take careful heed to yourselves, that you love the Lord…”

·        Worship in solitude - “Take careful heed to yourselves…”

·        Worship with the Saints – “That you love the Lord…”

Application: If God is for us who can be against us? Thru Joshua’s farewell address we’ve been encouraged to look-out; listen; learn; live and love!
