Series: Learning to LoveMessage: The Real DealText: 1 John 1:1-4 (PM 10/16/11) LOVE has to be the most overused and least understood word in the English Language. How can we say we love Ice Cream and then say we love God? We look in all the predictable places to develop definition. In our culture there are the obvious places people gravitate towards Hollywood, Romance Novels & now Social Networks. The only place to find out about True Love is from the original romance word - The Word of God. And the only person who can truly teach us - God!

II. An Invitation to Testify of God “We have seen and bear witness…”
III. An Invitation to Travel with God’s “You may have fellowship with us…”
IV. An Invitation to Trust God “That your joy may be full…”
Concl: We’ve become a label conscious consumer in America...All food packaged with the label for health. Love is packaged with many labels in our culture. There is however, only one that is The Real Deal…Jesus! John has packaged His love so we can understand!
