Series: Life Lessons from Luke
Message: Christmas – When Nobody Becomes Somebody
Text: Luke 2:7-20 (AM 12/26/10)
We
pass them everyday unnoticed.
They don’t show up on our radar. They’re the
invisible people in the
traffic patterns of our lives. Unintentionally we deem them
unimportant. Those we
forget God uses. The Shepherds tending their flocks on the first
Christmas morn were invisible
to the Jews. But the Father would take the
unnoticed and common to
introduce us to the uncommon –
when God became a man in a Bethlehem stable!
I.

Application to life:
God
uses common shepherds
to teach us about the uncommon
nature of His transcending love. May we
follow in their footsteps
to Bethlehem and beyond during the New Year. The uncommon awaits
us!
