I was born in Montgomery Alabama at what was known then as St.
Margaret's Hospital on July 9th.

Married Brad Brown September 4, 2004
Where did you meet your spouse?
I met Brad at a friend's home during
junior high Christmas break. He moved up from Florida a couple of summers later
and we became high school sweethearts.
CBC Anniversary Date?
June 5, 2006
Education?
Bibb Co. High School, George C. Wallace Community College, and
University of Alabama undergraduate course in Sign Language
First Job?
My very first job was part-time at Bill's Dollar Store while I
completed high school. My first "real" job was in Radiology at Jackson Hospital
in Montgomery.
When did you invite Jesus into your heart?
I remember I was attending
church at Maplesville Baptist. I remember the urgency and pull I felt to take
that walk down the isle and make my profession of faith public. Knowing Jesus is
my Lord and Savior and believing everything taught to me in Sunday school, I
asked Him into my heart and I didn't look back. I made that walk feeling quite
confident because I was not alone, He was already with me. I was probably around
8 years old at the time. I can't remember my age, but I remember the walk!
Music Preference?
I enjoy a variety of music including old gospel
favorites and contemporary to blue grass and rock.
Favorite Song/Hymn?
(Just one???) Blessed Assurance......Shine, Jesus,
Shine.....Sweet By and By.....Standing on the Promises......
Favorite Movie?
"Miracle Worker" (About the life of Helen Keller) I also
like "Its a Wonderful Life"
Hobbies?
Photography, Making Scrapbooks, Making Photo Videos,
Favorite Vacation Point?
Anywhere with my family that doesn't involve
anything that resembles manual labor.
Favorite Verse?
I have many that become my favorites depending upon my
situation. 1 Peter 5:10 comes to mind now.
Favorite ……..?
My favorite color is "Rainbow". My favorite car is
"Vehicle". My favorite food is "Grandma's". My favorite clothing accessory is a
"smile".
What do you enjoy about your ministry position?
I am fortunate to have
two church homes. I am a member of Randolph Baptist with a wonderful church
family, but my second family at my job is wonderful also. I have been able to
smile everyday. I have the knowledge that what we do is continuing God's service
outside of worship. There are several things about my ministry position I enjoy.
One of them is being able to read my Bible and not worry about offending the
person next to me. I can bow my head at my desk and no one bats an eye. My
family asks me on a regular basis if I'm still enjoying my job and my answer is
always "What's not to like? I'm working in a Christian environment with other
believers and I enjoy the tasks that are given to me."
Other things I enjoy…
I like the smell of the earth after a summer rain. I
enjoy taking pictures of sunrise and sunset. I embrace challenges and give
life's obstacles a kick to see how strong they really are. I'm very sensitive
and can laugh and cry with the best of them. I would love to share a joke with
you. If you are looking for a church home, a church family, look no further than
Canaan. My church family is in Randolph, but my job, my second family has shown
me nothing but love. A love for me and a love for our God. Let them show you how
much you are loved as well.
