Canaan Baptist Church is a multigenerational church in Bessemer, AL. Organized on September 5, 1818, Canaan is the oldest Baptist church in Jefferson County. Having a rich history of ministry in the Birmingham Metro, Canaan still desires to see all generations living for Jesus.

Canaan Baptist Church is a Southern Baptist Church. We affirm the Baptist Faith and Message 2000.
